Smart TVs & QLED / OLED Repair

Advanced troubleshooting for modern high-definition and connected displays. We deal with complex digital circuitry and operating system failures.

Modern QLED and OLED panels are essentially thin-bezel computers. We perform micro-soldering on logic mainboards to replace burned components, reflash flash-memory chips experiencing firmware corruption or boot loops, and swap out faulty T-Con panels responsible for ghosting, color lines, or blank screens. We also fix physical HDMI 2.1 ports that have cracked solder joints due to constant cable strain.

💡 Technician Pro-Tip:Backlight Lifespan Tip: Lower your television’s brightness / backlight setting from 100% to 75-80% in the menu. This reduces LED thermal stress and doubles the life of the display strips.

Common Issues Handled:

  • Mainboard component-level IC replacement and diagnostics
  • T-Con board replacements for vertical line corrections
  • HDMI 2.1 high-speed port resoldering and replacement
  • Wi-Fi card modules and network card swaps
  • Firmware recovery, flash memory rebuilds, and operating system updates
Precision Approach

Component-Level Repairs Preserve Your TV

Typical repair services swap out entire motherboards or power boards when a single component fails. This replaces functioning hardware unnecessarily.

Allied TV Repair specializes in component resoldering. If a single capacitor, power transistor, or HDMI chip fails on a board, we desolder that specific micro-part and replace it with a brand new, certified component. This keeps your original board settings intact and avoids unnecessary hardware swaps.

Result:We preserve your original board settings, avoid firmware mismatches, and keep your TV running on its factory components.

Our Approach

  • We replace only the damaged micro-components.
  • Bulk-sourced, certified replacement transistors and capacitors.
  • No unnecessary replacement of functioning board assemblies.

Professional Screen Calibration

After replacing hardware like a backlight array or T-Con board, display coordinates and color calibrations can shift, causing washed-out colors or improper geometry.

Allied TV Repair does not simply replace components and walk away. We use optical calibrator sensors and professional software to restore original color balances, white balance points, and brightness curves. This restores factory color profiles, delivering vibrant picture quality while maintaining low operating temperatures to protect the new components from early burnout.

TV Symptom Reference Guide

Match your TV's symptoms with the most likely technical diagnoses before booking.

Symptom

Sound is working, but the screen is completely pitch black.

Likely Culprit

Failed LED backlights.

Diagnostic Explanation

Most modern TVs use LED strips behind the panel. If even one LED fails, the safety circuit shuts down the entire backlight array. We open the panel and replace the backlight strips with brand new parts.

Symptom

The TV clicks repeatedly but never turns on.

Likely Culprit

Blown capacitors in the power supply board.

Diagnostic Explanation

Capacitors wear out due to heat and age. When they fail, the power supply can no longer provide stable voltage, causing the safety relay to click in a loop. We replace these capacitors with heavy-duty alternatives.

Symptom

Bright white, circular spots look like "flashlights" on the screen.

Likely Culprit

Fallen diffuser lenses.

Diagnostic Explanation

Each LED has a small plastic lens that scatters light evenly. Over time, heat melts the glue, causing the lenses to fall off. We open the TV to realign and permanently reglue or replace the diffusers.

Symptom

There are permanent vertical lines running down the screen.

Likely Culprit

T-Con board or LCD panel tab bonding failure.

Diagnostic Explanation

Lines indicate a communication failure between the processing unit and the glass panel. If it is a T-Con board issue, we can replace it. If it is tab bonding damage on the glass itself, it may not be cost-effective to repair.

Symptom

HDMI ports show "No Signal" even when a device is plugged in.

Likely Culprit

Cracked solder joints or blown HDMI chip.

Diagnostic Explanation

Constantly plugging and unplugging cables can crack the solder connecting the port to the mainboard. In other cases, static shocks or power surges burn out the HDMI controller IC. We replace or resolder these ports.
