Official Mission

"We Repair and Service All Brands and Types of TVs, including Smart TVs, LEDs, QLEDs, Plasma, CRT. We offer both In-Home Service and Workshop Drop-Off. Serving Hamilton and Surrounding areas including Burlington, Waterdown, Brantford, Grimsby, West Lincoln, St. Catharines, Niagara."

Convenient, Safe, and Authentic In-Home Care

Allied TV Repair operates on a simple principle: deliver high-quality, honest craftsmanship with maximum convenience. Whether our technician comes to your living room with a fully stocked mobile van, or you bring your TV to our Hannon workshop, you get the same expert component-level repair.

Our service specializes in component-level electronic troubleshooting. Instead of forcing you to throw away a premium television due to a single blown capacitor or worn-out LED strip, we pinpoint the exact point of circuit failure. We carry replacement backlights, capacitors, resistors, logic chips, and power boards directly in our mobile service van and workshop.

Whether you have a brand-new 85-inch QLED smart display experiencing mainboard boot loops, or a legacy CRT wooden console monitor that needs convergence alignment for classic arcade systems, Allied TV Repair possesses the technical expertise to diagnose and resolve your display issues safely.

Cross-Generational Expertise

Our History

Two Decades of Display Evolution

We have grown alongside the display industry, mastering every screen generation to deliver true component-level repair.

The Analog CRT Era

Our technical journey began repairing heavy cathode-ray tube TVs, alignment of convergence coils, flyback transformer diagnostics, and wooden console screen servicing.

Plasma & Early LCD Boards

As flat-panels arrived, we transitioned to micro-component diagnostics, mastering high-voltage sustain boards and early CCFL backlighting systems.

Smart TVs & LED Backlights

Expanded specialized equipment to include LED string checkers and micro-chip reflow stations to fix digital Smart TV boot loops and burnt-out backlights in-home.

Quantum Dot & OLED Diagnostics

Servicing modern 4K/8K OLED and QLED motherboard firmware issues, component-level resoldering, and premium display calibration.

Our Guarantee

Our Core Values & Customer Commitments

We stand behind every solder joint, component test, and board replacement we perform.

Honesty & Transparency

We believe in upright, direct evaluations. If a screen panel is physically cracked and the replacement cost exceeds the value of a new TV, we tell you immediately. We never suggest repairs that make no financial sense for the client.

Certified Grade-A Parts

We do not cut corners with cheap, unbranded electronics components. All of our replacement LED backlight arrays, power supply relays, capacitors, and HDMI chips are sourced from certified distributors and carry full warranties.

E-Waste Reduction

Every television we restore represents one less electronic chassis entering local landfills. Allied TV Repair is proud to support the circular economy by extending the functional life of household electronics by 5-10 years.

Eco Initiative

Supporting Hamilton's Circular Green Economy

When televisions are declared completely unrepairable (usually due to display glass damage), they are often thrown into general waste bins, causing toxic heavy metals like lead, cadmium, and mercury phosphors to seep into Ontario soil.

Allied TV Repair runs an active hardware reclamation flow. We safely strip and sort failed chassis, recycling plastics, aluminum heatsinks, copper wiring, and sending hazardous glass components to certified recycling depots. Any functional auxiliary boards (like remote control IR receivers) are tested and stored, ensuring zero salvageable material is wasted.

Green Disposal Promise

We are dedicated to maintaining absolute compliance with local e-waste recycling mandates, ensuring a cleaner environment for the Hamilton community.

Safety Standards

Certified Component Safety & ESA Guidelines

High voltage discharges from large capacitors inside televisions pose a severe shock hazard. Allied TV Repair prioritizes technician safety and household security by following strict guidelines:

  • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) wrist straps and grounding pads to protect TV motherboards.
  • Controlled capacitor discharge probes to bleed high voltage lines safely before chassis contact.
  • Standard RoHS compliant, lead-free flux and silver-alloy solder for long-term trace durability.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our local diagnostic procedures, warranty terms, and service policies.

Do you offer a warranty on your repairs?

Yes. All of our repairs come with a dedicated warranty on both parts and labor. If the exact same issue or component fails within the warranty period, we will return to correct it at no additional cost.

How long does an in-home TV repair take?

A typical in-home diagnostic and repair session takes between 45 and 90 minutes. We carry a wide variety of replacement parts (backlight strips, power supplies, capacitors, logic boards) directly in our service van to complete repairs during the very first visit whenever possible.

Is it worth repairing an older TV?

In most cases, yes. Power supply failures, bad backlight strips, and blown capacitors are relatively inexpensive to fix. Repairing your TV restores it to perfect operational condition for a fraction of the cost of buying a new one, while keeping electronic waste out of Ontario landfills.

How should I prepare for the technician's visit?

For in-home service, please ensure that the area immediately in front of the TV is clear of toys, fragile decorations, or cluttered cables. If the TV is wall-mounted, we will handle the process of unmounting and remounting it safely. We also request that you keep pets in a separate room during disassembly for safety. For workshop drop-off, simply bring your TV to 52 Sundance Crescent, Hannon during business hours.

Can you fix a physically cracked or broken screen panel?

Unfortunately, no. If the glass panel of your TV is physically cracked, shattered, or has bleeding colors inside, the screen panel itself must be replaced. Because display panels account for 80-90% of a TV’s retail cost, screen replacement is almost never cost-effective compared to buying a new TV. We specialize in fixing internal issues: power supplies, mainboards, backlights, clicking sounds, and HDMI ports.

Which TV brands do you service?

We service all major television manufacturers including Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio, TCL, Hisense, Westinghouse, Insignia, Panasonic, and Sharp. We also service vintage analog and retro CRT gaming monitors.

Do you charge extra for weekend appointments?

No. We understand that taking time off work during the week can be difficult. Allied TV Repair schedules Saturday appointments at the same standard rates as weekday visits.

Do You Have a TV That Needs Inspecting?

Speak directly with our team for a quick phone symptom analysis, or request an in-home or drop-off appointment online.
